The two biggest medical events were in 1998 when I fractured my spine and in 2003 when I had a golf ball sized benign tumour removed from my breast.

After years of lonliness and wanting,
Wanting to be loved and cared for,
Here stands before me a man who holds back nothing.
A man who has nothing to hide,
A man who asks for nothing but to be held, loved and understood.
His arms are wide open, his heart ready for the taking.
Why do I still feel so scared, so daunted?
This man is all I have dreamed of and more.
He is a vision in my own mind.
A child's thoughtfull playfullness, a loving father, a generous man, not materialistically but with love in abundance, honesty and forgiveness.
He makes me feel whole again.
There are no longer black chasms of solitude in my life.
All I see is clear skies and rainbows.
I ache for his touch, his voice, his words or reassurance.
The touch of his hand ignites my soul.
His eyes that dance full of passion he reaches in and takes a hold of my heart.
A gentle touch, with a brush form his lips I am gone, lost in another world.
Magicked away to an island where pain, guilt, sadness and anger cease to exist.
Pure unadulterated love is the only emotion here.
Devotion and admiration of his soul is my calling.
And I'll cherish this task, willingly.
As I am part of him, he is part of me.
No force can break our unity, not even death.
