The two biggest medical events were in 1998 when I fractured my spine and in 2003 when I had a golf ball sized benign tumour removed from my breast.

I have had several "Nigella" moments over the last few weeks, none have made me prouder than today's Christmas Dinner. A beautiful slowly roasted duck.
Christmas is very low key this year, no one dropping by, no fuss and no massive preparations.
It's been nice, like a posh sunday. Pressies of course were plentiful and the excitment on my darling girls face and exclamations of happiness and wonder as each strip of paper was revealed (paper of course already in recycling bin)
So from a me relaxing on my lovely sofa, trusty laptop, installing my new game

I've lived away from home a long time, a long long time.
Every once in a while I miss everyone.
Tonight is one of those nights.
I just watched a video file sent to me by my Uncle of my Grandad's party.
1 second, that's all it took and the tears fell thick and fast...
As I followed the camera it rested on almost every member of my family
I feel such love
I miss them.....

So i'm back.....
it's been too long i guess so i'll not bore you with all the ins and outs that have gone on cos there's been an awful lot, it's been a bit of an adventure!
i'll just say this....
It's great to be back (online) i'm happy, settled and enjoying life
it's been a big change, a welcome change, a life change
it was hard to say goodbye, but i'm enjoying saying hello
and that's it i guess.... I could bore you with all the waffly shit, amaze you with things that have happened, but i'll leave it at that, for now.
nursing ringing ears today... very loud music last night....lots to drink, went to bed at 3am and up at 7.30am and went back to bed at 8.30am until lunchtime!
