Well, eloquently put Evie. These days I feel so old when i actually get a chance to slip into something slinky and spend an evening out on the town! I'm not fat, I'm not thin, (size 12 for the really nosey peeps out there!) in fact I've been told I have a fabulous ass but good bod or not I know my limitations! I long to be brave enough to forray once more into the the world in a micro mini, but alas you hit 30 (like i just did!) and things start to slow down! Luckily I do have the sence not to dress in this way, as I said I know my limitations, it's a shame some other women don't.
Let me give you a for instance! Woman in her mid 40's definately bottle blonde, ankle length leather coat, whats wrong with that? i hear you cry, I'll tell you whats fucking wrong, under this she had on thigh high fmbs and a tartan mini that wasn't far past her ass. Now given the get up where exactly do you think i was at said time? ....... Clubbing? Down the pub? or in a shoe shop?
Well dear friends she was in the SHOE SHOP. I ask you what is the point? Its all very well to be lithe and 18 in a belt mascarading as a skirt but ladeez forget it if you are past 35 and a size 6/8.
Dressing young is not dressing sexy! Its SAD. You don't need to dress like an 18 yr old to feel like you are an 18 yr old!
I do wish people would take a look at some of our older yet fabulous looking stars, Honor Blackman, Joanna Lumley, Both look sexy as hell for women their age. Sexy is being yourself, sexy is dressing to suit your body shape, sexy is dressing to flatter yourself and dressing for yourself! Sadly there are a lot of women out there yet to take note of this.........
